At Glennic Transport Equipment, we design and install extra cab trays suited for all UTE models and built to handle Australian conditions. Whether you need a heavy-duty tray for work, extra storage for camping and travel, or a custom solution for specific needs, we’ve got you covered.
Our trays are built using high-quality galvanised steel, ensuring they stand up to heavy loads and harsh environments. Designed for tradespeople, delivery drivers, and businesses, they offer more storage, better accessibility, and a professional finish.

Standard Features
Along with installing a new tray on your single cab, extra cab, or dual cab UTE, we also offer a range of upgrades to suit your needs.
GTE Perth offers dual cab trays in two standard sizes: 1870mm long x 1870mm wide, and a wider option of 1870mm long x 2000mm wide. GTE can also customise the length to suit specific customer requirements.
The spare tire mounting configuration generally stays the same on all dual cab Utes except for Landcruiser 79 series. For the Landcruiser, the spare tire mount is moved onto the headboard. Unfortunately for 79 Series owners, you are not able to have an under-tray drawer and your tyre mounted under the tray also.
As part of the new tray fit-out, the camera is relocated and mounted onto a new bracket. The camera position will be different from the factory tub, pointing the camera at the tow ball to assist in connecting a trailer or van. The sensors are mounted on specially designed panels integrated into the rear tail light panel.
The typical height varies depending on the vehicle make. Landcruiser 70 series trays are 1050mm, American Trucks & 200 series/Amarok trays are 960mm, and all other makes are generally 900mm.
When selecting a dual cab tray, consider cargo area, payload, towing capacities, and practicality. A deeper tray can carry more, but accessibility is also important. Features like side steps, a lockable roller cover, and multiple tie-down hooks enhance usability.
The space between the wheel arches in a dual cab tray directly impacts the size and type of cargo you can carry. A wider space allows for carrying standard pallets or larger items, while a narrower space, often around 1100-1200mm in most Utes, limits you to smaller loads. Knowing this dimension helps determine if the tray suits your specific needs, particularly for work or recreational equipment. Choosing a Ute with a tray that has a bigger space between the wheel arches can be a key consideration depending on the cargo you expect to carry.

be transferred between vehicle models, excluding LandCruiser and American Utes. Compatibility depends on the tray’s dimensions and the vehicle’s chassis, requiring adjustments to mounts and wiring.
Protect the tray bed with a heavy-duty rubber mat or a bed liner kit designed specifically for your vehicle. Aluminium inside gate liners can also prevent scratches and dents.
Spare wheel carriers can be mounted on the headboard or under the tray to save space. Consider 35” spare tire adaptors for larger tires.
Secure cargo using flush-mounted lashing rings, rope rails, and a sturdy tonneau cover. Adjustable tie-down systems and cargo nets can also help keep items in place during transport.
